Tickicide

As Observed in the Field

The 4-Poster Tickicide device is a passive feeding station designed to control ticks that utilize white-tail deer as a primary host.  As deer feed on bait corn at the station, tickicide-treated rollers (paint rollers) brush against the animals neck, head, ears and shoulders where adult ticks feed.  Deer are a key host for adult blacklegged and for immature and adult lone star ticks.  Numerous studies have shown significant reductions in tick populations in the years following use of 4-Poster devices.  I have recommended this strategy to several federal and HOA clients.
